I've been following the work of loop.pH for a few years now and am often blown away by their new work and concepts.
Blumen Wallpaper (below) transforms traditional decorative surfaces into a rich, dynamic display of botanical life. It divides and ornaments space and can be seen in a wallpaper format as sliding panels. By working with traditional pattern making we have created an ornate printed design that is at the same time a working electrical circuit using electroluminescent technology. The repeating pattern allows the piece to be cut into smaller sections and even reassembled.
Weather Patterns (below) is a permanent light installation created by loop.pH for York Art Gallery. It is an architectural intervention that aims to improve the building during day and night by combining traditional surface decoration with modern display technologies which allow the building to communicate the changing weather cycles surrounding the Gallery in the hours of darkness.
I'm a huge fan of Paul & Joe. And I LOVE the packaging on their make-up line at Sephora. I can't recall who illustrated the packaging...the daughter of someone famous?
I picked up this book a few years ago and just recently flipped through it again. Love by Lowell Siff and illustrated by Vanni, is a lovely little book with whimsical line drawings and a charming message. I love the die-cut pages and interactive story...
Animal icons are everywhere...but these pieces still seem somewhat fresh and fun. Part whimsical, part vintage, and part glam...
