These parasols are made from vintage sari panels, and would be gorgeous for a wedding or party. They're not cheap, but $100 from the purchase of each parasol goes to the learn to the Live Foundation, to benefit educating young women in rural india. This is interesting...
Here in India, the 'Pipli Applique' from Orissa on parasols is quite popular and probably not as expensive if you pick it up from the crafts fairs.
