{sarah magid} currently loving.. 30 Jul 2007

Here's the first of new series called "currently loving..." in which various artists, designers, and other creative types have volunteered to share an image of something {or things} they're currently loving...it may be something of their own creation or a mix of items found or made by others. Either way, see a peak into their thought processes and inspirations...enjoy!

CURRENTLY LOVING...
Here's the Lotus Cake, inspired by what I am currently loving...India, lotus flowers, summer sunsets, flamingo pink and hot orange together... inside is organic cake, flavored with orange blossom syrup, and vanilla whipped buttercream, almost a chic version of a creamsicle!

black feels right again... 27 Jul 2007

For some reason over the past year, I've been anti-black clothing...no black tops or pants, only in staples like shoes or coats. All of a sudden, I'm feeling black again...and love it mixed with colors for summer. Check out these great pairings of black with various use of color from Mona & Holly...

Sivan Lewin 26 Jul 2007

I've always been a fan of photographer Sivan Lewin' work and was just reminded of it today via Hi+Low. Sivan has an amazing client list including Wallpaper, World of Interiors, Martha Stewart, Kate Spade, Anthropologie, and more...but what I especially loved seeing on her website is her personal work. It's so wonderful to see how a person's personal aesthetic translates in work they creative for themselves as well as work created for others...
