Happy Friday + {Philly} Friday Favorites...

Phillyfavoritesjoy

I recently had one of those perfect leisurely Saturdays of walking around the city, checking out shops, and get some tasty bites to eat. Here are some of my new Philly favorites. For a tasty snack...the apple lemonade (with apple slices) from Naked Chocolate Cafe and the chocolate peanut butter cupcake from Grocery are delicious. Top it off with a 1-hour student massage from the Massage Arts Center. It's not a fancy spa, but for $35, you can't beat it. Finally, check out the new issue of Philadelphia Home magazine...you may see a familiar face on the cover ;) Have a great holiday weekend everyone!

lunch bunch

I rarely post here about design for kids, but wanted to share these ADORABLE BYO Munchlers by Built NY which are featured in today's LifeStyle column. The team at Built NY collaborated with the award-winning children’s book illustrator, Stephen Savage, to create zoo animals for the design of the lunchboxes. If I packed my lunch for a job everyday, I would seriously use one for myself. Available for pre-order at Built NY and in Philly at Hello World mid-September.

color combos + a new bathroom...

We're repainting our bathroom due to recent water damage so I've been checking Domino's photo galleries for some inspiration on the new color. While I haven't yet found what's right for our space, the gallery continues to have such a great selection of images...here are a couple of my favorites...as well as some great overall color combos. I especially love the patterned tile in the first image and contrast ceiling in the second!

orla kiely for fall

I love this time of year when fall look books and campaigns start coming out...setting the mood for a designer's upcoming collection. One of my favorite lifestyle designers, Orla Kiely, has a new fall/winter collection with rich primary colors mixed with earthy neutrals...a fall version of her usual cheery colors...

For those of you who have emailed asking about availability of my Nantaka Joy line, the website is still in the works with plans to be ready in time for the holidays! However, I do regularly update my list of shops on the current site. There are also a couple shops {marked with an asterik} who sell my products online...
