{small stump} currently loving...

It's been a while since I've posted a "currently loving" image, so I'm thrilled to be sharing today's piece from Jill of Small Stump. From now on, I'll be posting a image from this series on Fridays so you can end the week with a bit of inspiration and a beautiful photo. Now, to Jill...

Smallstump

WHO...Jill Pilotte of Small Stump. In addition to her own line, Jill is also the Artist and Design Gallery Curator of Rose and Radish in San Francisco.

CURRENTLY LOVING...wood, white, warm...
This is my current dining table centerpiece and I love the combination of soft, hand-made, pieces and warm, woody textures. My growing collection of felted bowls and containers are perfect for displaying little groupings of objects. A small tree sits inside my favorite felted pot made by Papaver Vert, and I set some mini pine cones on a white pod from Project Felt. I often use little slices of logs as display pedestals for really special pieces like these Coe and Waito porcelain acorns (available soon at Rose and Radish). The little pile of crocheted balls are made by Relishdress.

disks of chocolate

Eclatchocolate

Last month I came across these beautiful chocolate mendiants by Eclat Chocolate. Of course, I noticed them for the beautiful textures and patterns pressed into each disk. But they are also delicious and beautifully packaged. With a high cacoa content, they're rich yet light...perfect for those who don't like their chocolate too sweet...

By emulating the recurring events we see in nature everyday, her new line, frequencies, attempts to capture the synchronized patterns of movement in flocking birds, the gained momentum of running horses, the growth patterns of vegetation and the cyclical activity of human and animal life. I've got some fun holiday decor and stocking stuffer gift guides coming up in LifeStyle so check the side bar regularly for new pieces! Here's one of my favorite recent stories...all about cozy things for winter...

Noanoafeathers

Ever since my wedding last year, I've been more into hair accessories especially those involving feathers. I love these photos from the Danish clothing brand, Noa Noa. While some may be too costume-like for everyday where, they're really pretty and fun...
