henry loves this movie even though you would think that hes too young to understand it. he gets sad when they hit the balloon with the rocks.

Oh Joy! Nice memories for me. We watched the red balloon every year growing up. It was also shown in school a lot. It's a favorite of mine.

I used to love this movie when I was a kid! I even had a book based on it, with stills from the movie. I was always disappointed when I grabbed a bunch of balloons and didn't actually float away... :-)

Thank you so much for posting about The Red Balloon. I saw this years ago and it inspired some of my film work at Uni. Back then I had a copy on video (PAL) which I couldn't play in Australian video players where I was living. Now with the joy of the internet I can enjoy it again. Thanks!
