I usually not into monogram jewelry, but I absolutely love these initial and number necklaces by Albeit. Made of 14K gold, each piece is delicate and subtle and perfect for wearing everyday. {UPDATE: they're having a 20% off pre-launch special through the end of July!}
...and perfect for summer...new headbands and hair combs from tree & kimball...
What an amazing blast of color from this photo by Sara Morishige Williams of an gorgeous exhibit at the Asian Art Museum of SF a couple years ago...happy weekend!

One of my favorite illustrators, Kat Macleod, is making her way to the States from Australia for a book signing of her newest book, Like I Give a Frock. She'll be in NY on July 8th at the Fifth Ave. Anthropologie and in SF on July 13th at Candy Store Collective.
The first business I ever had was as a calligrapher when I was 14 years old. I put flyers and my business card in neighbors mailboxes and would address envelopes and certificates for anyone who wanted it. So, there's always been a soft spot in my heart for calligraphy and any exploration of hand-written type. I love this series of sketches and explorations from a calligraphy class in Brazil. And this one (shown) is especially lovely.
