Oh Joy

good tidings... 23 Dec 2009

This happy lady is puttin' on her stretchy eating pants and kicking up her heels for the holidays. A big merci beaucoup to you, my dear readers, for supporting this new venture of mine. Look out for some new features, more adventures, and even happier eating here in 2010. Sending chocolate covered confetti to you all. See you in the new year!

happy holidays + thank you! 23 Dec 2009

Just wanted to wish you all a wonderful holiday and thank you for reading this blog for however long you've been checking in. Your support of my work and my blog mean the world to me and make every day so enjoyable. We're going to take a little holiday break and will be back here with a bit of a facelift on Monday, January 4th after the new year. {I'll still be tweeting between now and then though!} Happy 2010 everyone!

{taste tested}: chocolate editions 23 Dec 2009

Made with natural ingredients and in small batches, Chocolate Editions by designers Mary & Matt, is inspired by pop art and their love of candy and confections. If candy could look happy, there's no question that these bars evoke the sunniest of dispositions. My favorite is the neapolitan bar – a mix of dark chocolate, white chocolate, and strawberry all in one bar – it's perfect for having a little bit of everything.

Final thoughts...4 out of 5 happy ladies!

sweet sushi... 21 Dec 2009

I am lucky to have friends who know me and my love of food all too well. Just as I was craving sugar cookies, what arrived on my doorstep this weekend? These sushi sugar cookies by Sprinkle Bakes! They are SO stinking cute.

{photo by Sprinkle Bakes. Their online shop is currently closed for the holidays, but she'll be back in the new year and also takes custom orders.}

sweet & safe... 21 Dec 2009

In anticipation of my new bike last month, I was on a wild goose chase for a cute helmet {safety first!}. I came across this one by Ruby which was way out of my price range and for motorcycle {not bicycle} use. But I soon became obsessed with finding a black and white polka-dotted helmet where there were none to be found. So, I decided to make my own. Keep in mind, although I'm a designer, I am not a crafty DIY person. But this little project was so easy and turned out just as I had envisioned.
