Oh Joy

{closet & casa} with abby kellett...
5 Jan 2011

who: Abby Kellett, interior stylist and owner of Gretel

why abby rocks: I first fell in love with the stunning vessels over on Gretel's site. Her eye for subtle details & peek-a-boo colors had me hooked!

in her closet: My favorite item of clothing, by far, is this skirt by BCBG Runway. I've had it for a couple of years and have only worn it twice, but I'm always looking for another excuse! I love the fact that it has a fairytale feel without being costume-like. A tulle skirt could end up looking a bit child-like but the color and the way the fabric of this skirt has been woven make it sophisticated and dreamy.

in her casa: This stool is from Patricia Urquiola's Flo collection for Driade. I first saw this collection in Milan a few years ago and wasn't so sure about it. Within a few months however I was smitten and vowed to own a group of the Flo bar-stools one day. I bought this small stool as a temporary measure {until I have the bar and the wallet to justify the larger purchase}. I love everything that Patricia Urquiola designs. She has an amazing ability to mix the modern, ethnic, and feminine—and the results are always beautiful.
