mini meatball sliders for kids!

With school back in session and work and our busy schedules, it can be hard to carve out time to make dinner. When I get home from work, I don't want to spend an hour in the kitchen! I want to get as much time with my kids as I can before they're off to bed. So I'm always looking for ways to make meal-time easier and faster for me while still healthy for the kids. Today, we've partnered with KidFresh to share our Mini Meatball Sliders that make for an easy, fun, and delicious dinner your kids will love...

To make these mini meatball sliders...

1. Heat up a package of KidFresh chicken meatballs. The meatballs come frozen which make them convenient to have on hand when you're in a last-minute pinch for dinner and need something to help round out the meal with ease. And you can pick them up in the freezer section at Target while on your weekly (or daily!) run!

2. Cut sliced bread or rolls into smaller circles using a round cookie cutter (and then use the excess bread to make croutons or another dish!)

3. Layer the bread with a meatball toppings of your choice. Here are a few of our favorites that have mild enough flavors that kids love but still different enough to give variety and new tastes!

BBQ: Layer bbq sauce, coleslaw, and pickle slices.

Italian: Combine tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil.

Asian-inspired: Use plum sauce, shredded carrots, and lettuce.

Finally, add festive picks for a fun touch that kids will love. The nice thing about this mini slider is your can give each child the number that is right for them based on their age and how much you know they'll eat. A small toddler might have 2-3 sliders while an older child might enjoy 5-6 sliders.

They're so good...I'm sure you'll even sneak a few for yourself!

P.S. Want to try KidFresh for yourself?  Here's a coupon for $1 off to make your own sliders, or anything else from their entire line.
