Oh Joy Dressing The Team / Velvet!

For our very last Dressing The Team of 2017, we're bringing you lots of ways to style VELVET! It's super hot material right now, and for good reason. It's soft, comfy, and is the perfect touch of glam for the holiday season. See how everyone on the team styled velvet in their own unique way, from dresses to jackets to pants to skirts...even shoes! Also, we are now a team of seven, so you'll see a new face here below...

Nicole, our new E-Commerce Coordinator/Buyer (Welcome Nicole!), loves this flowy, velvet dress! "I love pairing anything with a wedge shoe because they are always comfy, flattering, and can be worn day to night. I would wear this outfit to brunch with girlfriends or on a nice evening out with my hubby!"

Nicole is wearing an ASOS dress and Just Fab shoes (past season).

Julia, our Creative Content Producer & Stylist, is expecting her second baby in May! Woo! We love babies around here! Julia says, "I love the color and cut! Its great paired with jeans for a more casual look or with a dress for a night out! I loved matching it with this bright jumpsuit. I'd wear this outfit out for dinner on our upcoming babymoon."

Julia is wearing an Anthropologie jumpsuit, Anthropologie velvet coat, Marais sandals and Bloc Art earrings.

Courtney, my Executive Assistant, is ready to hit the town in her velvet gown! "I love this dress because it is from Torrid, a plus size brand, and fits so well. The jacket take the very dressy and elegant look of the dress and brings the right amount of casual to make this look perfect for a holiday party at your friends house or at the Ritz ;)."

Courtney is wearing a Torrid dress, Intentionally Blank shoes, BP Earrings, and an Urban Outfitters Jacket - past season (similar).

Traci, our Social Media Coordinator, is anything but blue for these velvet pants! "I love these velvet pants because they are super comfy but they look totally chic. I paired them with a blazer and some metallic shoes for fancier ensemble, but they're so easy to dress down with a chunky sweater and some sparkly sneakers. It's the perfect outfit to wear to the office or out to a lunch with friends."

Traci is wearing Anthropologie pants, Madewell camisole, By Malene Birger blazer (past season), Intentionally Blank shoes.

Angie, our Designer, is rocking this super velvety, super comfy jumpsuit! Angie says, "When Santa is done delivering presents, I'm pretty sure this is the outfit he changes into. It's festive, unique, and very comfortable. It says, 'I like to celebrate the holidays, but I love to Netflix too.' I'd wear this throughout the holiday season, on weekends chasing my young boys, taking them to see Santa, and then snuggling on the sofa watching our favorite movies."

Angie is wearing ZARA Velvet Sweatshirt/ Trousers with Floral Embroidery and Rolli Derby Punch Rose Gold shoes.

Jess, our Creative Content Assistant, is ready to dance in her vibrant, velvet skirt! Jess says, "I would wear this outfit out to a weekend brunch with friends. It's comfy and relaxed, but the texture and color of the skirt make it a little more youthful, fun, and glamorous all at the same time!"

Jess is wearing The Left Bank earrings, Anthropologie sweater similar, Madewell shirt (similar), Zara skirt, and Sole Society shoes.

Joy, that's me! I opted to do a velvet on velvet color-blocked outfit with a top, skirt, and shoes all in this lush material. I would wear this outfit to a holiday party where I can dance the night away!

I am wearing a J.Crew tank, J.Crew skirt, Loeffler Randall shoes, and Anthropologie jacket (old).
