Cool Online Shop: Petit Paris

The Japanese shop Petit Paris has a fun mix of items - from vintage jewelry to child-like knick-knacks. I imagine many of these pieces to be perfect as backdrops and objects for an interiors shot...

{Left to right, top to bottom: Alexandra Francois necklace, Polder Casablanca necklace, Natasha farina/Bonbon Mlle Rose, Les tours eiffel babies, Anomalies Pom Pom Necklace, and Valise Bleue. UPDATE: Petit Paris does deliver to the US!}

Congrats Jenna & John!

Jenna was the most beautiful bride ever. And her venue was gorgeous...a mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island where part of the Great Gatsy was filmed!

talking letterpress...

Check out these fun new letterpress cards by Ella Studio. They're pretty and simple, but have fun and unexpected phrases on them (some too R-rated for me!)...

{super} cool idea: ClothUK

Lately, there's been a lot of photo-type images appearing in housewares...from plates to wall-hangings to pillows. I'm not typically a fan of bolder pieces like that, but I'm really loving the way ClothUK is incorporates photos onto really beautiful pieces of furniture. It's not cheap, but it sure is cool...

Cool Ceramics: dbO Home

I love the colors and shapes in the ceramic pieces by dbO Home. The hand-crafted pieces are all one-of-a-kind. For those of you in New York, check out the dbO sale this Sunday on Norfolk Street for savings of 20%-60% off. Click here for more details...

off to rhode island...

Sorry for two wedding posts today, but I am off to Rhode Island tomorrow for my dear friend Jenna's wedding. I have a couple more posts set while I'm gone the rest of this week. But here's a fun cake topper from Elegana Hand Craft to kick off Jenna's wedding weekend! {And a Happy Birthday to bride-to-be Jenna, too!}

mini mini

If I were to throw a party for myself (because one often does that), I'd be all about the tapas style party. Small bits of everything. I don't need a full appetizer or entrée...just give me lots and LOTS of little hors d' oeuvres, cakes, and other small morsels that I can eat in massive quantities. I recently saw an episode of Behind the Bash which featured a super luxe wedding catered by Callahan Catering. The beautifully styled hors d' oeuvres had me on the floor in awe. Here are some little bitty custom cakes from Jin Patisserie that would be the perfect ending to my tapas-style mini plate party...

Cool Artist: Michelle Caplan + 20% Off!

Some of you may have already seen the fantastic work of mixed media artist, Michelle Caplan. Her education and work experience as a graphic designer have come together on the canvas in the form of Collage Portraiture. The portraits bring life to a families' photographic history, each piece with its own narrative; trying to the tell the story of the person behind the image. They're really striking and beautiful. Through June 30th, received 20% of any item in Michelle's Etsy Shop. Also, check out her blog for newer pieces and her inspirations...

totally quirky...

...and I totally want them.

Cool Designer: Made Her Think

Meredith Kahn of Made Her Think creates femine and edgy pieces inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration. She uses familiar imagery and icons to evoke sweetness and sentimentality while telling various stories about life. I'm often a fan of more floral and pretty pieces, but I love the edge in these pieces by Made Her Think.
