Oh JoyOh Joy

Have a fantastic holiday and new year! I'm taking a blog break next week and will be back on January 2nd...till then...love, warmth, and sweet things this holiday...see you in '07! -joy

Cool Online Shop: Chocosho

I love the selection of goods at the online shop Chocosho...bedding from Atelier Baraque, jewelry by Erica Weiner, tees by Moonblood, jackets from Mike & Chris {whom I posted about yesterday}...and more great pieces by other emerging and independant designers. {ps. their logo is cool, too.}

block-printed tees

These hand-printed tees by db clay are all one-of-a-kind and vary slightly. Each piece of the pattern is stamped by hand, so the patterns themselves can vary with every tee. I love the matching pillow box that the tees come in! {via Modish}

mike & chris

I'm loving the alternative hoodie silhouettes from Mike & Chris. So comfy and chic. The dark & slightly grainy photos on their website are really lovely too...

i heart the pink box

After leaving New York and moving to Philly two years ago, Beth came up with the idea to do an exchange box to help make up for not seeing each other all the time. We'd send each other random things that we've collected and the box would just randomly show up whenever. No set intervals or expectations. But I love the days when I do get the box and see the wonderful little things Beth has sent! Here are a few goodies I received yesterday {oh, and the inside lid has illustrations we each found that is supposed to look like the other person...}

pop ink

pop ink has the cutest boxes of soap ever. boxes of soap + a set of melamine plates = a fun housewarming gift...

my favorite snippets...

...from this month's magazines...

{LEFT TO RIGHT, TOP TO BOTTOM: Burberry Prorsum dress from pg. 155 of Dec/Jan 07 Domino, dark plums, blues & orange ornament cluster from pg. 54 of Dec. 06 Living Etc., story on short blooms from Dec/Jan 07 Domino, and photo/story about Lela Rose's bridal collection from pg. 62 of Jan 07 W magazine.}

Cool {UK} Online Shop: Couverture

I read about the London shop Couverture in Living Etc. magazine recently and love their whimsical, vintage, and handmade selection of goods. The shop also has a small collection that sells online and ships overseas! The tea cosy (in all four colors) makes me especially happy...

little bits of paper goodness

I came across these tiny notes from dsix design over the weekend and love the simple and sweet messages they send. Notes are grouped into collections like "i will" which lists good deeds or tasks to accomplish and "i.o.u" which gives a lucky recipient some well-deserved time. They also come with the tiniest envelopes...

Oh Joy! in Marie Claire

Thanks to Marie Claire magazine for their super nice mention of Oh Joy! in the January 2007 issue.
