images i'm loving...

If I could fill my walls with amazing photos, I surely would. Maybe someday when I have bigger walls. Here are a few of my current favorites...left to right, top to bottom: girl in b&w by Craig Fordham, rainbow bathtub by Mel Yates, Indian wedding shoes by Karen Wise, and treehouse with ladder by
Daniel Farmer.

Cool Designer: Emily Amey

I'm loving the organic shapes and airiness in the jewelry of Emily Amey...

Cheap & Chic: Delia's

Every so often, I've got to get my Delia's fix. The teen shop always has the cutest & most affordable pieces come summertime...

Cool Designers: Loyal Loot

While at the Stationery Show last week, I managed to have a few short bursts of time when I could get away and check out the other shows going on.Like Grace, I loved the mini log bowls from the girls of Loyal Loot. So much so, that Lisa and I made a beeline to their booth at ICFF's Designboom Mart on the last day before they were all gone. Check out the other cool pieces by this collective of Canadian designers...

Cool Blog: Book By Its Cover

Meg of Mateo Ilasco told me about Book by Its Cover while we were hanging out at the Stationery Show. The simple site with great book picks and reviews is run by none other than the super talented Julia Rothman! {Check out images from Julia's Surtex booth here...}

a quick hello + happy weekend...

Hello! I am back from the Stationery Show...and will be taking the next few days to catch up on much needed sleep! Just wanted to say hello and post a few pics for you all. My photos are not that great as I was too overwhelmed with the launch that I simply forgot to take more. Here are a few photos of our Relish booth, as well as some detail shots from my own Nantaka Joy line. A HUGE thanks to the fellow bloggers who have posted such lovely pics and words about the launch (D*S has great pics of the entire show)...and also a big thanks to those of you who came by to say hello and show your support. You'll be seeing Nantaka Joy products in stores very soon ;). For now, I am off to enjoy the long weekend...have a great holiday! -Joy

{A couple answers to your questions... I had the little chair made by a local architectural designer based on this actual full-sized chair which I own. I gocco'ed my pattern onto fabric with fabric ink and then did a mini upholstery job for the cushions! As for availability of my new line, I'll post a list of shops once all of my current orders are fulfilled and will definitely keep you all posted when I am up-and-running on my own site for e-commerce. Thanks for your interest & support!}

nantaka joy + see you in a bit!

Hello folks! I'll be taking the next couple days off from this blog to tie up loose ends and prep for the Stationery Show before heading to New York at the end of the week. My new line, Nantaka Joy, will be debuting at the show...and I couldn't be more excited {and nervous}! If you'll be at the show, stop by the Relish booth #3472 and say hello!

Thanks again for all your support...it truly means so much as I venture into this new part of my business. I may sneak in some preview shots during show time...otherwise, I'll be back here officially on Tuesday, May 29th with some more photos to show, my first tradeshow under my belt, and one year older and {hopefully} wiser...see you after Memorial Day! Till then...Joy
