flora bowley + petaline

I love this piece by artist Flora Bowley. A wide selection of her glicee prints can be found at Petaline, an online shop that carries work from various artists in the northwest area of the US.

turn this into that...

Reader Emily sent me these photos which I had to share. I love seeing how something small can inspire something even bigger. After purchasing these glasses {on the left}, she was inspired to create this mural in her bathroom...so simple and so perfect!

oslo press

I've been seeing wood veneer pop up more in paper goods since the Stationery Show earlier this year. These wedding invitations from Oslo Press are an amazing display of the use of wood for an elegant and unique wedding invitation. The folks at Oslo combine wood and paper for a rather gorgeous combination...

fifi lapin

I know I'm not nearly the first to post about Fifi Lapin, as this blog has received lots of attention amongst fashion bloggers this year. But I wanted to share the love anyway because drawings of bunnies in runway outfits (Fifi, in particular) are just the thing to make your day a little brighter...

jonathan adler design

I'm always on the Jonathan Adler site checking out what's new that I don't know why I never saw these gorgeous photos of work by the Jonathan Adler Interior Design team. Here's a sampling of some of their gorgeous interiors work...

currently loving...

...turquoise and spotted feathers....

{counter clockwise: wide pheasant feather headband, thin turtle dove feather headband, mosiac blue coasters, flora hairpin {coming soon}, and flea market perfume bottle found long ago.}

the green vase

Livia Cetti of The Green Vase is responsible for many of the wedding editorials I've swooned over in past issues of Martha Stewart Weddings. As a floral designer, photo-stylist, crafter, and event coordinator, she's also a contributing editor to the magazine. As these images show, Livia's work is absolutely stunning...

chicago recommendations?

You guys are the best when I'm looking for some suggestions. I'll be heading to Chicago in a couple weekends from now to visit a dear friend and wondering if you windy city dwellers out have any tips on some home design shops & clothing shops you love? My main priority is to catch up with an old friend, but good food and good shopping are always a great way to spend a weekend with friends...

{ a HUGE thank you to everyone who posted suggestions...I am overwhelmed and thrilled. I've tried to email most everyone back, but a big thank you regardless if I have not gotten to you yet!}

come in...go away + happy weekend!

I love little things like this...unexpected and amusing surprises depending on which way you look...in the form of a doormat by Suck UK...have a great weekend!

images d'orient

I wrote about the gorgeous coasters in my LifeStyle column today and has to share more of the collection here in all their colorful brilliance. The set of coasters, trivets, and place mats from Images d'Orient are made with layers of die-cut rubber and inspired by the Mediterranean. I'm not sure of their full list of stockists, but you can purchase some pieces at Neiman Marcus, and if you're in Philly at Open House.
