ideas about organization and filing (although i'm a pretty messy person), primary colors, stripes, sculptural wire, texture, overlapping lines, and old school technology.

big lighting, simple space

There's something so stunning to me about chandelier-type, large lighting fixtures in simple spaces where the lighting is the show stopper of the room...definitely a dream house type piece. All pieces here are by Ochre.

floral pop

A special nod to the newly engaged Grace...I love the mix of shapes {and fruit!} in these vibrant and whimsical florals by the amazing David Stark...

lines & shapes

I'm so excited about this new collaboration between two incredible talents, textile designer & illustrator, Lena Corwin, and Maria Vettese of Port2Port Press. Both known for their gorgeous work and attention to detail, they've joined together to create LINES & SHAPES, a series of small books to launch throughout the year.

Each volume of LINES & SHAPES has a different visual “jumping off point” and a different set of artists featured. These artists work separately, having no communication with each other, to interpret the visual idea. Their creations are then designed into book form. Volume One (which will be available beginning tomorrow) is based on the theme of the circle and includes: Jennifer Causey, Lena Corwin, Karen Gelardi, Caitlin Mociun, Christopher Ryan, and Maria Vettese. The first volume is available beginning tomorrow, February 26th right here.
