What's a typical lunch for you? Anything that's not too heavy, such as salad, sandwich {like this Smoked Salmon BLT}, or noodles, to prevent myself from having a "food coma."What's your dream/ideal lunch? If work/time/geographical constraints weren't a factor, my dream lunch would have to be somewhere in Paris with a nice selection of cheese and meats, a glass of wine, and lots of people watching.
Dessert with lunch? I didn't get into sweets until after my daughter was born, so dessert after a meal is a must now. I usually pour myself a small glass of Muscat after lunch–my favorite is Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscato d'Asti 2007. Besides that, my favorite go-to dessert is a bowl of coffee ice cream sprinkled with sea salt made at home.

Happy Friday all! Earlier this week, my friend Sara surprised me with a sweet little gift in the mail...this vintage Liberty of London scarf she said made her think of me! Mailbox surprises and little gestures like that make any day even better {Thanks Sara!}. Hope you all have some fun things planned for the weekend. I'm making it my mission to slowly check off restaurants on my San Diego food list before we move to LA in a few months. Have a great weekend all!

The first time I heard the name David Stark was when I attended this Target party {shown above} back in 2004 when I worked for Cynthia Rowley and helped to design her then Swell collection for Target. I walked into the pop-up shop party and could not believe my eyes. It was unlike anything I had ever seen, and I needed to know more. Event planner David Stark is well known for his amazing design work, so I'm thrilled to see that my very first encounter with his work is in his new book David Stark Design which chronicles some of his greatest projects over the last several years...
After a short weekend in Palm Springs, this little bird has some extra spring in her step. She's rocking the bling with her weekly floral hairdo, and she's not afraid to shine. She even found a friend to keep her company amongst all the shrubbery...
