Oh JoyOh Joy

anthology magazine + subscription giveaway...

You may have caught a sneak peak of the soon-to-be-debut Anthology Magazine yesterday on Design*Sponge. Anthology is a brand new print {yes, print!} home decor magazine by Editor in Chief, Anh-Minh Le, and Creative Director, Meg Mateo Ilasco, that I'm thrilled to be a part of. Along with having designed the logo for the magazine and helping select the artist for the premiere cover, I'll also be serving as Anthology's Market Editor.

Check out this awesome stop-motion film which gives a little peek into the magazine's story. With video by Thayer Allyson Gowdy and music by Susie Ghahremani, it's sure to remind you that print really is not dead.

Here's a peek at one of my favorite stories from the premiere issue...the colorful and wonderfully patterned home of Jen Mankins, owner of the amazing triplet of Bird boutiques in Brooklyn.

Finally, for the first issue, I'll be sharing some of my picks based on the theme of The Slow Life. As a special treat to Oh Joy readers {and in celebration of this month's 5 year blog birthday}, we're giving away a one year subscription to 5 lucky readers. Simply, tell us {in one sentence} how you focus on the slow life at home. How do you take pleasure in the simple things? Comments close on Friday morning at 9am PST and five winners will be chosen at random. Sorry, open to US residents only.

UPDATE: Congrats to Kate V. from Somerville, MA; Kristen T. from Chicago, IL; Veronica A. from Monclair, NJ; Krista S. from Hickory, NC; and Angelique W. from Narbeth, PA for being our 5 lucky winners!
