It can be hard to style a room for siblings, especially when its boy and girl each with their own personalities. So today, we're showing you how to create a gender neutral bedroom that's bright, colorful, and fun. Here's are some tips you can apply to your own space...

1. Animals! When creating this space, we used animals throughout as a playful way to tie everything together. Animals came in the form of busts, pillows, plush toys - you name it! We mixed in lots of different kinds of animals, so your kids can both pick their favorites.

2. Lots of color! We kept most of the colors neutral and tonal any nothing that was traditionally "girl" or "boy" as those typical colors are becoming more of an old-fashioned trend. Instead, we added in lots of pops of colors on top to bring those brights throughout the room and make it fun for any kid. Quick tip: when bringing any focal colors into a shared space (yellow, for example), be sure to bring it into at least a few touch points into the room to tie the whole room together.

3. Geometric Shapes. When creating this room, we used lots of simpler geometric shapes—from stripes and circles to triangles and star bursts. It's fun to use these shapes in different textures, too. Circles can come across in the dots on the sheets, texturally in the poms on the bins and pillows, and in the circle knot pillows.

4. Create both separate and shared areas. Finally, while each child will have their own sleeping area (crib or bed), also give them a designated area to share. That could be an area to read books, a play table, or a little lounge area.
