For this month's Color Adventures, we're serving up light pastel vibes! When styled all together, light colors can feel airy and sophisticated, which is perfect for spring. Come check out this calm, cool, and collected living room...
This color-block rug was our inspiration for the entire space. We loved that is has contrasting line designs on it, too.
If there's a specific feeling you want a room to have, choose artwork that will help evoke that emotion. We wanted this room to be playful, light, and airy so we chose artwork that mimicked that with a photo of flowers hanging in the air, kites flying in the breeze, and a fun painting of people swimming. The yellow typography print is a nice contrast to all the imagery but still follows the same color scheme.
We mixed in a fair amount of neutral colors throughout this space and lots of subtle shades of our favorite colors: green, pink, and blue. We added in lots of texture with the pillows, a touch of metallic whimsy with the disco balls, and chic gold accents throughout.
Doesn't this room make you feel relaxed? Stay tuned for my favorite pastel outfits soon!
